Whenever I think about physical places, I find myself coming back to a few types of numbers again and again.

I've collected these into spreadsheets so that I can reference them more easily, and I figured they might be useful to others too:

  1. Urban densities โ€“ Population density in various cities around the world
  2. Wharton Residential Land Use Regulatory Index 2018 โ€“ How restrictive is land use policy in nearly 3,000 municipalities across the USA? (Does not include unincorporated areas)
  3. Freedom in the 50 States โ€“ Comparison of various measures of freedom in each US state. Source
  4. Area calculator โ€“ Find the area of a shape you draw on a Google Map

I'll add more datasets to this list as I think of them. ๐Ÿ™‚
